Understanding Sunburst Part Numbers – Item Cheat Sheet

Beginning of codes

(letters and notations preceding size indication on within an item code)

A         Items beginning with A followed by a number are usually referring to amber colored items.

AB       Items beginning with AB are going to be amber (brown) bottles (usually glass). If an item begins P-AB, it is Plastic amber.

AL        Items beginning with AL are going to be aluminum bottles.

BC       Items beginning with BC are going to be Boston clear (or flint) glass bottles.

C         Items beginning with C followed by a number are usually referring to clear (or flint) colored items.

CB       Items beginning with CB are going to be cobalt (blue) bottles (usually glass). If an item begins P-CB, it is Plastic cobalt blue.

CEL     Items beginning with CEL are cellophane bags, and vary in size and print.

CR       Indicates a cylinder round bottle. CR bottles are natural (opaque) bottles.

CS       Indicates a cream salve jar. CS jars are usually clear (or flint) in color.

DW      Indicates that an item is a double wall jar. Double wall jars have internal walls that are separate from the external jars, making the jar appear larger than it is. *NOTE: The exceptions to the rule are the DW8 and DW16 which are actually single wall jars. They are part of the DW series as they closely resemble the rest of the DW series.

FIT        Fit refers to a fitment. Fitments are snap on accessories used for spice jars and sauce bottles. FIT will be followed by a number indicating the number of holes a particular fitment has, or the neck finish the fitment will fit on to.

G         Items beginning with G followed by a number are usually referring to green colored items.

GR       Indicates the color green.

HW      Indicates that an item is a heavy wall jar.

JUICE  Indicates an item is a type of juice bottle.

HX       Indicates a hexagon shape. Normally used when referring to lug finish jars.

LB        Indicates an item that is know as a “lip balm” jar of some kind. They can be glass or plastic.

MB      Items beginning with MB are going to be muslin bags. Muslin bags only come in two sizes.

P-         Any item with a P- at the beginning indicates that the item is plastic. **Note: Not all plastic items being with P-.

PC       Indicates a plastic cylinder bottle. PC bottles are clear bottles.

PN       Indicates a plastic natural (opaque) bottle.

PR        Indicates plastic round bottles. PR bottles are clear bottles.

PUR     Indicates the color purple.

ROL     Items beginning or ending in ROL indicate that an item is a roll-on perfume bottle,

SP        Items beginning with SP are glass spice jars.

SQ       Indicates a square shape. Normally used when referring to lug finish jars.

TB        Items beginning with TB are going to be tea bags. Tea bags only come in two sizes.

TU        Items beginning with TU indicate that an item is a tube; normally referring to chap stick type tube; exception is the CTU where the C indicates cobalt followed but the TU to indicate tube.

WP       WP indicates a white plastic bottle.

 

Ending of codes

(letters and notations following size indication on within an item code)

 

A         An indication of A following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be an atomizer sprayer.

B         B at the end of a code indicates that the closure will be black.

DISC   An indication of DISC following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a disc lid.

D         A D following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a glass dropper with rubber bulb.

FLIPTOP           An indication of FLIPTOP following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a flip top lid.

G         G at the end of a code indicates that the closure will be gold.

G         G at the end of a code indicates the closure color is green (will only be used on TU series.) Any other G at the end of a code will refer to gold.

P          A P following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a lotion pump.

R          An indication of R following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a plastic rod lid.

R          R at the end of a code indicates the closure color is red (will only be used on TU series.)

S           S at the end of a code indicates that the closure will be silver.

SIL      SIL at the end of a code indicates that the closure will be silver.

SNAP  An indication of SNAP following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a snap top lid.

TP         An indication of TP following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a treatment (serum) pump.

TRIG    An indication of TRIG following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a trigger sprayer.

TV        An indication of TV following the size within an item code indicates that the closure will be a glass tester vial rod.

W         W at the end of a code indicates that the closure will be white.
